Dave began his career in vocal music production while acting as Music Director for the
UNC Clef Hangers. After joining
vocal tonic and hiring Rockapella's Jeff Thacher to produce the group's second CD, he quickly developed a love for working "behind the glass", and formed the a cappella production company
diovoce.
Since founding the company in 2000, Dave has had an opportunity to work with many talented groups from around the world, as has been honored dozens of times by the
Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs). His work can be heard on numerous "best of" compilations, including:
'Best of College A Cappella' 2002-2008'Sing' 1-4'Voices Only' 1-3
Building on the success of
diovoce, in 2007 Dave partnered with fellow producers James Gammon, Tat Tong, and James Cannon to form
VocalSource. As the largest and most successful network of a cappella studios in the world, VocalSource offers artists more flexibility and diversity of sound, with proven results. As the company continues to grow, the
VocalSource Community will begin to shape the way every group approaches vocal music production.
